Excelling in quality

Meldon always strives to deliver high quality
extrusion profiles with optimum quality. Excelling
in quality is Meldon’s mission.

Meldon has IATF 16949:2016 certification, the most significant standard in the automotive industry aimed at QMS requirements for businesses that are – like Meldon –
involved in the manufacture of automotive parts.

The advantages of IATF 16949:2016-compliant operations

  • Consistent quality of products and services
  • Prevention of deviations and unnecessary waste in the
    supply chain
  • Continual improvement is an integral part of all processes

With the certification for the IATF 16949:2016 standard, Meldon demonstrably complies with the most stringent standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in terms of products for the automotive industry. This standard is based on a company’s entire process. Here at Meldon, we aim for continual improvement, which we embed in our processes with process KPIs.

That’s how, here at Meldon, we can keep working on improving all our operations, and keep our competitive edge.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is of paramount importance to Meldon. It’s our ambition to reduce our ecological footprint to a minimum. The way we conduct our core activities at Meldon and shoulder our responsibility towards the environment is woven into our strategy. So, what contributes to this, and reinforces this position? It is our ISO 9001:2015 certification and our ISO 14001 certification.

Meldon has built up a wealth of experience, in a wide range of fields, since 1949. Whether we are dealing with high-end, off-the-shelf products or specialist, customized solutions – we continue to expand our knowledge of the products and study them more closely. But we always follow the latest developments in sustainability in the market!

Plastic waste is recycled, and used again as much as possible, which contributes to improving our environment. In addition, Meldon has more than 3,200 solar panels, which we use to generate a third of the power we use. We work closely with the local municipal authorities, the Directorate for Public Works and Water Management, and the provincial authorities to ensure that this cornerstone, sustainability, is thoroughly anchored into our DNA.
